The Solitary Man Meets The Ordinary Man
Steve Ketterer Sings With Neil Diamond
The Caroline Rhea Show 11/27/02
"Sweet Caroline"
Words and music by Neil Diamond

Where it began
I can't begin to knowin
But then I know it's growing strong.
Was in the spring
and spring became the summer
Who'd have believed you'd come along.

Hands
Touching hands
Reaching out
Touching me, touching you

Sweet Caroline
Good times never seemed so good
I've been inclined
to believe they never would
but, now I

Look at the night
and it don't seem so lonely
We fill it up with only two.
And when I hurt
Hurting runs off my shoulders
How can I hurt when I'm holding you?

Warm
Touching warm
Reaching out
Touching me, touching you

Sweet Caroline
Good times never seemed to good
I've been inclined
to believe they never would
oh, no, no

Sweet Caroline
Good times never seemed so good
I've been inclined
to believe they never would

Sweet Caroline
Ladies and Gentlemen, Neil Diamond

The Solitary Man shakes hands with the Ordinary Man 11/27/02
A special thanks to the staff of the Caroline Rhea Show, The I am I Said Message Board, and especially to Neil Diamond. All of you in one way or another helped make this moment possible. It's one thing to meet your hero but, it's another thing to be able to say you shared a professional moment with them. It's a thrill I wish everyone could experience with there heroes. I know I'll never forget this day. I can only hope this is a sign of great thigs to come in the future. Let the "Magic Carpet Ride" continue!!!

Dear Mom,
I knew when this happened that you had something to do with this. I also know that you were somewhere up there laughing yourself silly at the look on my face when it happened. You deserve the biggest thanks of all. If not for you, I would not have been born with the dreams I have and the desire to achieve them. I also may not have become a Neil Diamond fan. Of anyone who has ever known me, you, most of all, know how much this means to me. I owe you BIG! But, then again, I had you for a mother and I always owed you for that.
                                                                      With love from your son,
                                                                                                    Steve
